90TH ANNIVERSARY FACTS & FIGURES


  • The bank was chartered in 1920 as the Shovel Lake State Bank
  • Subsequent names for the bank were First State Bank of Swatara, The Security State Bank of Remer, and Woodland Bank.
  • Remer became the bank's headquarters in 1933.
  • The bank recorded its first $1 million in assets on July 21, 1952.
  • The Woodland Bank name was adopted in 1992.  The bank held a contest to rename the bank, and it was won by Terri Williams.
  • Brian Nicklason has been President sicne 1997.
  • Woodland Bank now has six offices in addition to Remer:  Longville (1978), Cohasset (1993), Hill City (1998), Jenkins (2005), Deer River (2007), and Grand Rapids (2010).
  • 45 full-time employees work at Woodland Bank.
  • Woodland Bank's current assets total $105 million.
